Native planting

Today at LR Cottage we are again in the process of planting more native plants around the cottage, our approach towards regenerating the native bush is to do a little bit, more often, instead of trying to do a lot in a short period of time. It's also a great way for us as a family to work together and have fun, whilst teaching the girls about the importance of looking after our environment. Sunday is never really a day of rest for us, but it is a day of enjoyment.

The weekend is almost here

Friday is upon us and here at Little River cottage we are getting ready for our next guests who arrive today, as with all of our preparations with new "future friends" we make sure the devil is in the detail.

Also happening in Little River and surrounds:

The NZ Red Cross are holding their NATIONAL DISASTER RESPONSE TEAM  Annual Exercise in and around Little River over the weekend 13 – 15 March 2015.  We will be based next to the Fire Station and are trying to find some local volunteers to act as role players for a range of exercise on the Saturday.

Enjoy the weekend peeps
